Rolling Meadows, Illinois- named for its rolling terrain-- is a city in Cook County. Rolling Meadows is approximately 30 miles northwest of downtown Chicago and 24 miles northwest of the Loop. Rolling Meadows has a population of approximately 30,000 people. Western Electric opened a facility in the early 1960's in Rolling Meadows, which drew a blue-collar population.
