Pooler is considered a suburb of Savannah as it is located just north and west of the city. Once just a stop on the train route to Savannah, Pooler has developed into a vibrant community and a great place to live. The city boasts of a strong educational system, which includes nearby technical institutes and colleges, affordable housing, job opportunities, and a small town atmosphere. Pooler has a nice blend of businesses and employers, and access to the Savannah international airport makes the area commuting easy for the residents. The city provides its citizens with lakes with free public fishing, as well as hiking, jogging and biking trails. Also available are tennis courts, golf courses and easy access to the Atlantic Ocean beaches. Of course, Pooler can take advantage of all the amenities that the city of Savannah has to offer, and still maintain its southern small town charm.
