Colonialtown North

The area known as Colonialtown is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Orlando. The quiet, tree-lined streets offer a serene suburban atmosphere that is ideal towards raising a family. The Colonialtown area is surrounded by local shops and restaurants, namely the Little Saigon and ViMi (Virginia/Mills) districts. Winter Park borders this area to the north, College Park to the west, the busy Fashion Square area to the east, and Executive Airport (East Central) area to the south. Colonialtown is centralized to most of central Orange County and is mere minutes from Downtown Orlando. Residents that live in this area have access to several major roads including Mills Ave., East Colonial Dr. (SR50), and Bumby Ave., and the 408 (East/West Expy).

This area is a great area when it comes to housing, as real estate is comprised of midsize single-family homes that are moderately priced. Most of the homes in the neighborhood were built between the 1920s and 1960s with the large majority of them being from the 40s and 50s.  There are a few from the 80's to 2000's with most of them being mulit unit properties  Rental properties are especially enticing, as this area is one of best price-to-quality of living ratios in Orlando. When compared to neighboring Baldwin Park, Colonialtown has more charm for a fraction of the cost.

There are several shops including the Colonialtown Center, grocers include the Asian Supermarket, a Winn-Dixie, and a nearby Publix, and tons of great local restaurants serving several different cuisines including including Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and American. There are also several fast-food restaurants and gas stations here to serve the heavy traffic that comes through this area.
