Maryland Heights, Missouri

If you're looking for a town with lots to do as well as being very safe, you found it. Mayland Heights, MO, located on the west side of St. Louis, has tons of indoor activities (like upscale Casinos such as Harrahs) and outdoor activities (ex: Aquaport Water and Sports Park, Westport plaza and Creve Couer Lake Park). The parks are considered some of the nicest in the state. The business district in this 23 square mile town is vibrant and bustling with excellent dining and entertainment. There are abundant, affordable apartments and single-family homes in Mayland Heights' quiet neighborhoods. The further south one travels the more expensive the units become. This town of 27,000 residents has one major hospital and 7 colleges within 10 miles (population has slightly grown over the past decade). The city is proud that they have been able to maintain their growth in services without creating a city property tax. This is a great area to visit or reside.
