Lithonia is in DeKalb county and a suburb of the Atlanta metro area. Easy access to major roads affords residents an easy commute to areas throughout the metro.
Lithonia is in the heart of the Georgian quarrying and viewing region. Its name is derived from the Greek word for stone. The world's largest granite dome, Stone Mountain, is nearby. The Lithonia Public Library, founded in 1907 was the first in DeKalb county. Lithona offers great restaurants, shopping and easy access to hours of entertainment.
