Overview
(edit)
Spring Valley is a central neighborhood area in Las Vegas. It is contained in a huge two sections, just minuets west of the Las Vegas Strip. Block one: South Jones to South Rainbow in between west Flamingo road and West Tropicana, Block two: South Rainbow to South Buffalo Drive in between West Flamingo Road and West Tropicana. This is a great area for those working in the centralized casino industry along the Las Vegas Boulevard. The Strip is less than 5 minutes east on Flamingo or Tropicana. It is really the “middle of road” neighborhood for Las Vegas.
It really is a small community if just homes (22,500) and apartments (21,000). One of the best things about this area its non-gated and yet it is reasonably safe. The really nice feature is the single-family homes actually have “Real Sized” lots. Before the great and insane land grab of this century, when the BLM had 3 sales a year because they could sell government property for has high a million and acre with averages around a half million, Spring Valley’s built very nice solid value homes with on a very nice manageable yet usable sized lots and compared with current small subdivision yards.
Finally, the plants and trees are all mature and have proven to be able to exist in the harsh Mohave Desert climate. For those who want to work in the casino industry this neighborhood is it, and has it all.

Mid-life families are the big piece of the pie, retired are the second, and singles are the final large pieces of the Spring Valley residents. Its is also a complete mix of ethnicities.
Spring Valley has a great location. Without going into the obvious, nowhere in the city do have all that Spring Valley does and have the easiest access to the Las Vegas Strip.
For outdoor family oriented activities, the corner of Flamingo and Jones has the Desert Breeze sports recreation center with baseball and soccer field and lots of park area and other recreational opportunities. There is also a smaller park in the center of the Spring Valley area.
The CAT bus line runs are always running and with Flamingo on its North and Tropicana on it South Spring Valley borders two major arteries of Las Vegas that feed its core, The Strip.
The inner part of Spring Valley is basically traffic free there is no restrictions on parking in front of homes and apartments have assigned covered parking.
For peace and quiet stay off the main streets and stay in the Tropicana-Jones-Flamingo-Buffalo box.
