Could be a much better place. Management is often in over their heads. Some of the office girls are just rude. The parking is a joke. I guess the old saying 'Location, location, location' is their best quality. The range of rents listed above are way low.

I enjoy living at City Centre because it is in the heart of midtown Houston and is just adjacent to downtown. I like being in the middle of Houston’s active lifestyle with a broad spectrum of dining, shopping, and entertainment. It’s nice to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, and even the Theater District! I feel the apartments here are amazingly beautiful and the maintenance staff is outstanding! I totally recommend this property!

On the bright side: Overall, the I really like my apartment. Plenty of space, concrete floors and granite countertops. Location is perfect for me since I work in downtown.

On the down side: I first moved into the community 2 years ago when Midtown was cool. Then, the property was new and Midtown was rocking. Now, I think the property is overpriced since the cool bars are not walking distance anymore. The action is now in Washington ave. and midtown is just a bunch of sports bars.

The thing I hate the most about the property is the "club room scam". They will walk you through it when you come and visit to shop apartments but that will be the ONLY time you'll get access to it. You only have access during "office hours" which is EVERYBODY's office hours. Hence, it is only accessible 10am to 6pm (while we are all working) and not while we are in the property.

The rent is a tad high, but you're paying for the newness of the complex and the location. I looked at surrounding complexes and they're 10 years older. They're charging the same price, if not more because they are on the main strip. I do like that you have a one-month out. So, if you decide to cancel your contract, you just pay one month's rent.

I've enjoyed living here. It's very convenient since I work in the Medical Center. I like that the restaurants and bars are walking distance. The upkeep of the common areas have been great. The customer service in the office has been pro-active.

The downside is parking. In the garage, it gets frustrating to see smaller vehicles double parked when massive trucks even know how to park between the lines. I know cars have been broken into when parked on the street. My only suggestion is to not leave valuables in sight when you park your car.

I also didn't realize how far the parking garage is from my apartment. I do like the catwalk. I feel safe. The complex down the road has you crossing the street.

Overall, I've been very happy with living here. I was picky about where I wanted to live. I love the stained concrete floors, granite countertops, tall ceilings, open airducts, and stainless appliances in the loft.

I have lived here since the property opened almost three years ago. I have enjoyed living at the property. The rent is appropriate for the area. Translated the rent is higher than other areas but it's about location, location, location. Living in an area where you can walk to restaurants, grocery stores and other conveniences is not east to find in Houston. Midtown is currently going through an incredible growth of new development. On the weekends it gets crowded but I knew that when I moved to the area. I have an interior apartment so street noise is not an issue. The management is great and the maintenance team is outstanding! The apartments are very well constructed and the development common areas, courtyards, pools and landscaping are terrific. I use the workout area often and enjoy the Cyber cafe with complementary coffee and bottled water. I recommend the property and have enjoyed living here for the last three years.

The location is outstanding. I can walk to work and walk to bars, restaurants, grocery stores. There aren't many places in Houston like that. There are fair number of homeless guys wandering around, and I've heard of cars getting broken into when parked overnight on the street, but I'm not aware of violence or threats of violence. The apartments are handsome and well-appointed, and repairs are fast and painless. Ample covered parking is completely locked in, so no one can access your car without a key card. However, there's a bit of a walk from car to apartment. I really love living on the first floor and having a front door that opens directly onto the street. Two very nice pools, a louder "party pool" and a quieter interior pool. Neither is really big enough to do laps. The gym is fine. We never hear our neighbors, although we do hear drunk people walking down the street to their cars on weekend evenings.

Only two real gripes: (1) there is no way to get out of paying for cable television, and (2) they have a big, beautiful game room/ lounge that is completely inaccessible outside of office hours. You can't rent it out for love or money.

Still, it's a nice place. You pay a little extra for the location and the quality of the fixtures, but we've been very happy.

I like everything about this place except for the noise level. I have a neighbor downstairs who loves playing his music at 3 am during the week.
