Escondido is a medium-size city north of San Diego. Apartments are easy to find, mostly located east of I15 and south of Lake City Park. You can find spacious homes with lots of amenities. However, they aren't cheap. Apartment dwellers in this section of San Diego County can expect to pay between $800- 1,300 for rent. The median rent is $1,200. The economy is growing here, and there's plenty of shopping and entertainment. There's a strong arts community, and obviously the beautiful California landscape makes the expenses worth it.
