Overview
(edit)
Conyers is a combination of all that is "small town USA" and big city. Close to Atlanta, it has become a community where the residents take pride in the development and growth of this rural urban area. The city, with new schools, booming commercial development, low taxes and urban shopping, became a draw for young families.
Conyers is proud to present the Annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival, named one of the "Top 20" prestigious events by the Southeast Tourism Society. The festival offers a variety of entertainment, arts and crafts as well as various children's activities. One of the legacies of the 1996 Centennial Olympic is the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers. Now one of the most successful post-Olympic venues, the park offers equestrian and mountain biking events, golf, festivals and concerts. Need more to do:
Visit the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Olde Town for specialty shopping, Panola Mountain State Park for a hike or Cherokee Run Golf Club for a round of golf.
Conyers has it all: character, history and charm.
