Centreville is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County, Virginia. The area is also known as a Census Designated Place, and is also considered to be a suburb of Washington D.C.
The town was established in the 1760s. However, most growth occurred in the late '90s and early 2000s due the influx of technology companies.
Now, Centreville is quite a typical American suburb, composed of luxury townhomes, strip malls, a movie theater, and large housing developments.
