At the second stop sign, turn right onto Grand Avenue. You'll see Lewis Park on the right side of the road.From St. Louis and the east Metro area, take I-64 East to Mount Vernon, Illinois. In Mount Vernon, I-64 East will merge with I-57 South. Follow I-57 South to Route 13 West (the exit for Carbondale, Illinois). Continue on Route 13 West to Carbondale. In Carbondale, turn left on Lewis Lane (the second street past University Mall on the left). At the second stop sign, turn right onto Grand Avenue. However, because certain breeds do not thrive in a community environment, we cannot accommodate the following: Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Chow, Doberman, German Shepherd, Husky, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler and Wolf Hybrid.
