Overview
(edit)
Located at the convenient intersection of such major roadways as the Mopac and U.S. Highway 183, the North Burnet Gateway neighborhood is considered to be a popular neighborhood just North of Austin's urban core. About a 15 minute drive from downtown (though not during rush hour), this neighborhood is also a short drive to Round Rock, Georgetown and Pflugerville.
Featuring a mix of residential housing types, residents of the North Burnet Gateway area can choose between houses, condos or apartments, but there does seem to be many large apartment complexes. These complexes are multi-unit residences that often come with luxurious amenities like on-site fitness centers, game rooms, balconies, pools, tennis courts and many floor plan options. Amenities vary from complex to complex.
While you might not have many of the sort of local businesses that downtown Austin is known for, residents of this neighborhood aren't lacking in options for retails stores, restaurants and other entertainment. The large mall complex known as the Domain, a popular spot for affluent Austin residents, is also located quite close to the neighborhood. Though many of the businesses are in strip malls or other developments, this neighborhood offers a big variety for all types of personalities.
