I moved into these apartments when they were Windsor Apartments. About a month later they changed ownership to Mission Barton Creek Apts. The new onsite management was horrible! The apartments are nice except that the management will try to nickel and dime you when you move out so that you do not get any of your deposit back. They billed me for a paint job, $400. When I was shown the apartment that I eventually moved into, it was painted yellow and green inside. I needed to move in almost immediately so when they offered to not repaint and leave the walls that color I said that would be fine, it was clean and nice. Then when I moved out they sent me a bill for the $400 paint job. I told them I didn't paint the apartment, it was that color when I moved in. Since the apartments changed ownership shortly after I moved in, they did not have the old move in records, or so they said (liars). I tried to contact the corporate office and the email I sent was forwarded to the local onsite manager...don't give them your business, they are bad people and the apartment is NOT worth the prices they are charging. I paid $940 a month for a 1 bedroom and they got another $400 out of me for a paint job that I didn't do, come on!?!? I tried to fight it and they sent it to collection so I had to pay it so it wouldn't ruin my credit.

This place is pretty great. Helpful, and dare I say attractive, staff who honestly want to do everything possible to make living there enjoyable. Hell, they even remember your dog's name and are quick to produce a treat.
My actual apartment is the smallest sq footage they provide, so naturally it's nothing special. Hardly an efficiency, however. It's insulated very well, offered custom painting, and has nice sturdy appliances. My only complaint is that it could do with a bit more lighting.
I've noticed no noise from neighbors aside from the occasional person going up or down the stairs outside. I'm probably the noisiest in my building. My bad, other tenants.
The grounds are nice, with a lovely pool area, two laundromats with those little load-em-up card things, a basketball/tennis court, and native Texas flora and fauna all the place. It's in the Greenbelt area, so the location is great too. Mini mart, dry cleaners, and taco joint within walking distance. Just minutes from downtown, next door to Mopac and 360. I can get about anywhere I want or need to be really quickly (traffic permitting).
I've only had maintenance in my house once and that was for a cosmetic upgrade (offered free of charge, might I add) and they were in and out without me even noticing.

Overall, it's a great place to live. Move there.
My only complaints are coming from my wallet and car. Rent is a bit steep and parking can be a b****. I get home around midnight so spots are usually gone, but I suppose that's my fault for being late to the party.

I thought that this was the greatest apartment when I first moved to Austin. Then I had to deal with the office about a money issue. It no longer became the best place, because of their unwillingness to work with their "valued residents"... Then it came to my move out deposit. After not getting a response from the office in the time frame they provided me with, they charged me $30 for carpet cleaning & $75 general cleaning... Which they let me know they charge all residents. If you plan on moving here plan on not getting $105 of your REFUNDABLE deposit back, b/c "that's what they charge everyone". Not to mention that I left this apartment in twice as good as condition as it was in when I moved in. A word to the wise take pictures IF you move into a apartment in Mission.
