(edit)
Asheboro, North Carolina is waiting to wrap its southern charm around another apartment renter. This mellow North Carolina treasure carries a population of an estimated 22,000 residents and still has room waiting to spoil you!
Asheboro was named after the Governor Samuel Ashe who served North Carolina in this office from 1795 to 1798. During the mid 1800s, the town's primary source of income was undergirded by the nearby gold mines. City development moved slowly until the arrival of the High Point-Randleman and Southern Railroad system in 1889. Competition quickly followed with the 1896 insert of the Montgomery Railroad whose route reached from Star to Asheboro. The next year ushered in Asheboro's first bank and telephone service, The Asheboro Telephone Company.
Presently, Asheboro is a city with a lot of spicy attractions baked in southern hospitality. Once you have settled into your new Asheboro apartment, visit the highly acclaimed North Carolina Zoo. Witness more than 1,000 animals representing two continents. NASCAR enthusiast can always catch a spirited race at the Caraway Speedway. The North Carolina Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame holds an impressive collection of military and civilian memorabilia. Practice your swing at the Tot Hill Farm Golf Club or take in a classic movie at the Sunset Theatre. Trust, there is always something to keep you entertained within the Asheboro city limits.
Asheboro apartment dwellers are only a 70-mile drive from the state Capitol, Raleigh, North Carolina. Even though the city is smaller, it is situated close to metro areas as well as rural retreats. Luckily, this city allows its residents to take a bit out of all North Carolina has to offer.
