Located in portions of Tarrant, Wise, and Parker Counties, Briar, Texas is a census designated place that has a population of 5,665 residents. Briar takes up 21.9 square miles of gorgeous north-central Texas farmland alongside Eagle Mountain Lake. Situated on Farm Road 730, only 22 miles northwest of Weatherford, the community began to develop in the late 1870's and 80's as a school and church community for area farmers and their families.
